Finding Sanctuary in the Storm
Mar 17, 2026
There are seasons when the world feels loud, tense, and unpredictable.
Conflict.
Economic uncertainty.
Political division.
Personal transitions.
Collective grief.
Even when we are not directly impacted, our bodies often register the instability. The nervous system is wired to scan for threat, and during uncertain times it can remain subtly braced. You may experience tight shoulders, shallow breathing, racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, or a constant sense that something just isn’t quite settled.
And sometimes this catches us off guard.
Maybe you’ve done the personal growth work. You’ve learned tools for mindfulness, emotional awareness, and healing. You know how to regulate your nervous system and stay grounded.

But then something happens, like a news headline, a personal challenge, a difficult conversation, a sudden change, and you feel the jolt.
The steadiness you thought you had suddenly feels shaken.
In those moments we often try to regain control by thinking harder, reading more information, or trying to “stay positive.” But regulation does not come from thinking.
It comes from safety.
And safety is not something we find in headlines, opinions, or predictions.
Safety is something the body experiences.
When external circumstances are outside of our control, one of the most powerful things we can do is strengthen our ability to come back to center internally. Not to ignore reality. Not to bypass grief. But to create enough steadiness inside that we are not carried away by every wave.
Because the truth is, the storm may still be happening around us.
But we can learn how to anchor ourselves within it.
Sometimes that process is easier when we do it together.
Community has always been one of humanity’s most powerful regulators. Being in a room with others who understand what it means to navigate uncertainty can soften the nervous system in ways that isolation cannot.
That is the intention behind this upcoming workshop.

Sanctuary in the Storm is not about pretending the storm isn’t real. It is about cultivating a place inside yourself that remains grounded, responsive rather than reactive, and capable of meeting life with clarity.
This experiential workshop will explore practices that help the body return to safety, reconnect to inner steadiness, and build resilience during uncertain times. Rather than simply talking about these ideas, we will experience them together in a supportive environment designed to help you
reconnect with your own internal anchor.
Because the world may continue to shift.
But your nervous system can learn another way.
And that changes everything.
If you’ve been feeling the weight of uncertainty lately, or simply want to strengthen your ability to stay centered in challenging times, I invite you to join us.
